Quintiq’s Guide to Comfort in the Workplace
Does your workspace make your job a joy or a pain? Do you spend all day sweating it out in a scratchy suit and tie? Is the office “pantry” stocked only with dirty dishes and a colony of ants? Does your rigid plastic chair remind you of school, and send you home with a crick in your spine? Read Quintiq’s guide to comfort in the workplace to discover how a few home comforts can make a big difference to your day.
A Chair that Cares
You sit on it for at least eight hours a day, perhaps for several years… you spin around, you slouch, you travel at speed across the office floor. You probably spend more time sitting at your desk in the office than you do sitting on your sofa at home. So, why shouldn’t your working space be as comfortable as your favorite spot in front of the TV? At Quintiq, we all sit in exactly the same kind of chair – comfy, supportive, ergonomically designed and surprisingly aerodynamic! We put you in the director’s chair from day one.
Chocolate-Coated Inspiration
Feeling peckish? Suffering from post-lunch pre-dinner fatigue? A nice cold drink and a tasty snack can make all the difference. We stock our pantries with chocolate, fruit, soft drinks and more – perfect pick-me-ups at any time of day. Not forgetting the coffee machines – Italian espresso equals inspiration!
Color Me Cheerful
Our offices are bright, bold and beautiful, with lots of light and space. You won’t find any drab grey cubicles and ugly office furniture here. We want to be inspired and motivated by our working environment.
The Moveable Meeting
Communal spaces are conducive to collaboration. We’re free to meet in one of many meeting rooms, brainstorm horizontally from the comfort of a sofa, or scribble ideas on walls and windows designed for the purpose.
Dress Up, Dress Down
We don’t have a dress code – even the CEO likes to dress casually when he’s spending a day in the office. Yes, when we meet customers we like to look our best, but on every other day our comfort is priority. After all, you can’t play air hockey in a suit and tie, and there’s nothing inspiring about shoulder pads.
The Benefit of Breaks, the Rewards of R&R
Taking regular breaks is not just nice, it’s necessary. Breaks refresh the body and mind. Take a time out in a massage chair, pound a punching bag, play a game of pool, or enjoy an episode of CSI on a widescreen TV, in one of our R&R rooms. Step away from your desk for just five minutes and that concept you’ve been struggling with all day will suddenly become clear.
